My child’s online learning experience through The Goodstart Holistic Online Preschool Education Program has been both positive and meaningful. The school’s virtual classroom offered engaging lessons and activities that gave my son a solid foundation in reading, Filipino, math, science and arts and crafts.

The teachers delivered effective lessons and encouraged student participation during synchronous sessions. The activities during asynchronous time helped spark student creativity and were structured to develop the students’ communication, problem-solving, and motor skills.

The teachers made sure that students are emotionally well and connected. My child gets excited to bond with his classmates during circle time, Wednesday play dates and school events.

Hello everyone! I am Karen Cruz-Espiritu, mother of two Goodstart kids. My eldest just graduated from Kindergarten recently.

The strict safety restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 has taken a toll on us, and especially our children. My eldest had a rough time adjusting to it, where the anxiety and sadness even became more serious for quite a while. All this was about to change when online schooling started.

I am glad I had Goodstart as a partner during the first year of online schooling. First, it served as a bridge to connect my daughter to other children. Having time together: playing games, learning alongside each other, talking about similar interests, even if just online, filled up the need of my kids to have friends. The friendship formed was truly beneficial for her well-being. We were offered something very precious during this isolating times.

Second, Goodstart teachers formed a very gentle and personal connection with the students, which became their strong tool for instruction. They are “teacher-friends.” My daughter was initially very shy about speaking up her mind or sharing the videos she made with the rest of the class. The teachers were very understanding about it and knew how to manage delicate issues with children. Eventually, my daughter started to open and blossom with her teachers’ patience and support.

Lastly, Goodstart is effective in laying out the foundations for your children’s higher learning in the big schools. They make sure it is age appropriate. Not only is it kid-friendly, it is also very parent-friendly. The format of the teacher’s presentations online, together with the offline activities for assessment, are brief enough to be in tune with children’s limited attention span. Yet, it remains effective that your kid understands important concepts and retain them. The demands of online schooling for your children, of course, will add weight to your daily household and office load. However, Goodstart makes it so much easier for parents to execute.  It will do its best to make schoolwork feel something worthwhile and enjoyable to do as a family. I feel it is difficult to balance academic expectation VS realities of learning in a home set-up. Goodstart, however, reconciles them excellently.

We did not regret that we choose Goodstart Preschool as our child’s first official class. The teachers were good at what they are doing and they are considerate, given the fact that online classes is a teamwork of students and parents. Their module is a combination of developing the child’s social, motor and academic skills. If you are a parent and looking for school for your toddler, this school should be at the top of your list. 🙂
