1. How do I know if my child is ready for preschool?
Preschool is a big step for little ones, and while we welcome children as young as 2 years old, not every child might be ready for it at that age. You’ll notice your child might be ready if they show signs of independence and seem comfortable around other people, whether they’re adults or children. But it’s not just about your child’s development; it’s also about your own readiness to trust them with other adults as they learn new skills. It’s all about finding that balance and making sure both you and your child feel confident and happy about this new adventure.
2. What kind of preschool is Goodstart?
Goodstart is a progressive preschool. The progressive curriculum we developed is a skillful combination of traditional learning materials complimented by progressive learning styles that supports our students’ physical, social, emotional and cognitive well-being.
3. How do we transition my child to the routine of preschool?
We always tell parents that it’s helpful to establish routines at home to prepare their child for school routines. In preschool, sticking to a schedule helps kids feel safe and sure about what to expect each day. They learn to trust that things will happen as planned and feel confident about tackling tasks at school.
4. Should my child be potty-trained before entering preschool?
It’s great if your child is already potty-trained, but it’s totally okay if they’re not yet there! We just ask that you let us know where your child is with potty training, and make sure there’s an extra set of diapers and clothes in their grooming kit for any accidents.
5. What does my child need to bring to school?
We kindly ask families to let their child bring healthy snacks each day and keep an emergency and grooming kit in their cubbies. Don’t worry, we’ll give you a list of what should be in the kit during the parent orientation seminar.
6. Are mathematics and literacy taught in preschool?
We don’t have specific lessons solely dedicated to teaching mathematics and literacy for toddlers. However, they participate in various activities that introduce them to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. Plus, they have plenty of fun practicing their fine motor skills with games and toys. As for Nursery and Kindergarten children, we use more advanced methods to teach numeracy and literacy, but always in engaging ways. Our teachers guide them through activities that reinforce these skills, making learning enjoyable and rewarding.
7. How are the children prepared for primary school?
We make sure that the total development of each child is addressed. There is the additional emphasis on literacy and numeracy skills in Kindergarten. We discuss with our parents their plans for transitioning to primary or “big schools” and from there chart goals that will help the child and the parents address expectations for the next level of schooling.
8. Are you Dep Ed recognized? Why is this important?
Yes, we are DepEd Recognized. We continue to adhere to policies set for by the DepEd thus our recognition. This is important because primary schools only accept Kindergarten finishers from DepEd recognized schools.
9. Where are you located in Quezon City?
We are located inside Philam Homes QC . The village is found across Trinoma, making it centrally located and secure.
10. How do I enroll my child?

11. How much is your tuition fee?
We discuss the tuition rates with you after your visit to our school. We do offer annual, trimester, and monthly payment schemes for our parents.
